It’s just about time to break out the sunscreen and get ready for motion sickness because the Queen City Ex summer tradition is almost here.
The fair starts with the parade and fireworks in Regina on Tuesday night.
“It’s just a great celebration of the day and gets us kicking off into the week here for the fair,” Josh Shaw, with the Queen City Ex told the CJME Morning Show.
The parade starts at 7 p.m. at Dewdney Avenue and Cameron Street and heads east toward Broad Street and then south on Broad St., ending at the Tartan Curling Club.

The parade is expected to last just over an hour.
Then at about 9:45 p.m. the fireworks will start in Wascana Park.
The fair starts on Wednesday, with a couple new rides including the Himalaya and the Chopper Charlie. If you want to test your taste-buds on a dare you could try out some of the new food. Some of the newest items on the menu include something called the big pickle corndog, a mac n’ cheese stuffed burger, Oreo churros, and deep fried ice cream.
“There is everything, if they can deep fry it, it’s on the menu,” said Shaw.
Tuesday is the last day to buy Day Tripper passes.
