A 38-year-old man who allegedly had a gun at a Regina business Sunday is facing a weapons charge.
According to a media release from the Regina Police Service, officers were sent to the 3200 block of Montague Street at approximately 6:10 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a man with a gun threatening staff at a nearby business.
After arriving on the scene, officers arrested the man without incident. The gun turned out to be an airsoft pistol.
No one suffered any physical injury during the incident.
The man was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He’s to appear in court Sept. 10.
Meanwhile, a man and a boy were charged after a gun-related incident on a city bus on Sunday afternoon.
Police say they got a call at approximately 4:15 p.m., that suggested there were two suspicious males at a business on the 2100 block of 11th Avenue. Officers then got a call about a man carrying a gun while on a city bus in the same area.
Police located the two suspects on the bus and arrested them. Officers found a pellet gun, break-in tools and property that is alleged to have been stolen.
A 20-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy both appeared in court on Monday.
