Regina police have charged two men after a car was allegedly shot up in May in the east end of the city.
In a news release, the police service said it has charged 25-year-old Tyson Wilkinson with attempted murder and 22-year-old Sharmarke Dahir Ali with attempted murder using a restricted gun.
The original incident happened in the early morning of May 9, on the 3200 block of Harding Street, just south of Truesdale Drive.
Police were sent there at about 2:35 a.m. when they got reports of loud banging sounds.
They arrived to find a white Chevrolet Impala parked on the road, with its front window smashed out and a man inside with what looked to be gunshot wounds.
An ambulance crew took the man to hospital for treatment.
Ali made his first court appearance at Regina’s provincial court on Thursday afternoon. Wilkinson made his first court appearance Friday morning.
