At 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Police received several calls about a crash at Preston Avenue and 3rd Street East.
Witnesses reported a woman driving a car had collided with a parked truck and was running from the scene on foot.
One man who saw the collision, provided a description to police, and followed her until he was able to direct police to the 2300 block of 7th Street where the woman was last seen.
As other officers arrived at the collision scene it was determined that the car the suspect had been driving was reported stolen in the city Saturday.
Numerous reports were received as the woman made her way through the neighborhood in an effort to avoid police.
At one point the suspect jumped into a passing drivers truck, but she was not given a ride.
She then entered a nearby garage and tried to steal a bicycle, but was scared off by the homeowner. The suspect did manage to steal a bicycle.
Officers were flagged down by someone that saw a woman, matching the description, on a bike go through a yard on Kirk Crescent.
The woman was eventually arrested in the 1800 block of 14th Street East.
The 24 year old from Saskatoon will be in court Monday facing charges of possession of stolen property, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and break, enter and theft.
