A young toddler who went missing at a family get-together on a farm near Aneroid, Sask. has been found safe and sound.
RCMP confirmed the news at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, after putting out a call for help in finding two-year-old Courtlund Alcide Stuart Barrington-Moss earlier in the day.
In an emailed news release, Mounties in the Aneroid and Ponteix areas said the boy went missing around 8 p.m. Monday, during a family gathering.
The emailed news release said the farm is “just north of the Aneroid junction. This property is the first farm on the grid road after the town of Aneroid and is located on the west side of the grid road.”
Police haven’t said where or how Barrington-Moss was found; just that he’s okay.
When Mounties put out the call for help, they said the boy’s family spent Monday night searching “the area surrounding the house and yard and all outbuildings on the farm as soon as (he) was missing.”
Police also called in help from the Swift Current RCMP canine unit, along with a RCMP drone and a STARS air ambulance helicopter. The latter two were used to help with the aerial search.
