Regina police are looking for suspects after they say a man was carjacked and assaulted near the Orr Centre Sunday morning.
Officers were called the 4600 block of Fourth Avenue just before 4 a.m.
According to a news release, the victim was stopped in a lane inside his white Nissan Murano when he was approached by two men masked with bandanas. One of them was allegedly armed with a gun.
Police say the two suspects pulled the victim out of his SUV and assaulted him before driving away in his vehicle.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Officers tracked down the empty stolen SUV in the 1300 block of Wascana Street, a couple blocks north of the Pasqua Hospital, around 6:40 a.m.
Both suspects are described as Indigenous, approximately 22 years old, 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds. They were reported to be wearing dark-coloured hoodies at the time of the incident. One man also had a red bandana covering his face, the other had a black bandana.
