An 18-year-old man is facing charges after an armed robbery early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 5:20 a.m. a man went into a gas station in the 1600 block of Idylwyld Drive North with a knife and robbed the store employee of cigarettes and cash.
The man fled the scene on foot. A canine unit successfully tracked the suspect to the area of 38th St. and Ontario Ave. where he was taken into custody without incident.
The 18-year-old man was charged with Robbery and Conceal Identity.
The store employee was not injured.
