A 17-year-old boy has been charged with pointing a gun at two Good Samaritans during an incident last week in northwest Regina.
In a media release issued Tuesday, the Regina Police Service said officers were sent to a store in the 4400 block of Rochdale Boulevard on July 23 at approximately 9:25 p.m., for the report of a firearms offence.
Two suspects had robbed and assaulted a man. As two people had tried to help the victim, one of the suspects had pointed a gun at the two before running away.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old on Monday. The teen, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with two counts of pointing a firearm and one count of armed robbery using a firearm.
The teen made his first appearance in Provincial Youth Court on Tuesday.
