Father Time has nothing on Tom Brady.
In fact, maybe he is Father Time. Brady has agreed to a two-year contract extension for the 2020 and 2021 NFL seasons.
Brady is 42 and will be 44 at the end of this contract extension. Brady is still winning and still throwing touchdown passes and continues to add to his historic resume.
Peyton Manning and Brett Favre played well to the age of 39 and 40, respectively. Brady doesn’t appear to have a best-before date.
TB12, his diet, his workout, his longevity are going to be the focus of numerous theses for masters and doctorate students in nutrition, physical therapy and maybe even medicine.
The older he gets the better he takes care of himself, so why not play another three years?
There is one thing I’ve learned about Brady. Don’t doubt him. Don’t make any prediction on when the magic will end or when the Patriots dynasty will crumble.
Brady says he wanted to play until he’s 45, and many couldn’t believe it. But that’s been Brady his entire career, making the unbelievable believable.
