8:30 – The Liberals on the House of Commons ethics committee used their majority on Wednesday to block Ethics Commissioner Mario Dion from testifying about his report into Justin Trudeau’s behavior during the SNC-Lavalin scandal. Dion was standing by to testify, but five of the six Liberals on the committee voted down the Conservative motion to hear from him. MP Peter Kent sits on the committee, and he joins Mike to discuss the meeting and why the Conservatives felt it was important for Dion to testify.

9:00 – Bug’s Day: The HOUR OF RAGE!
10:00 – Bear spray is commonly seen in the hands of two groups of people – those venturing into the wilderness for camping and hiking, and criminals who use the spray to attack people. Saskatoon recently saw three criminal bear spray incidents over 24 hours, and recent incidents there include a 12-year-old arrested for bear-spraying a family and one incident where bullets were fired through the window of a home before bear spray was sprayed through the bullet holes. Mike Couros thinks bear spray should be banned, because we only ever hear about it being used on innocent people and not on bears. Producer Taylor disagrees, saying it should be difficult to buy but its legitimate uses are important for anyone venturing into bear country. Who do you agree with? 11:00 – Harvest season is beginning, and that means you’re much more likely to see big farm equipment on Saskatchewan’s roads and highways. While the number of collisions involving unregistered farm equipment has dropped in recent years, the number of injuries and fatalities is still far too high. SGI Media Relations Manager Tyler McMurchy joins Mike to discuss how some of these collisions occurred and offer some tips for safely sharing the road with farm machinery. Do you get frustrated when you’re stuck behind a combine, or are you a farmer who wishes drivers would give you some more space? Give us a call at 1-877-332-8255 and join the conversation!
