At 1:52 a.m. Sunday a K-9 unit located a stolen vehicle in the area of Avenue H and 22nd Street, air 1 was alerted and quickly found the vehicle.
Police tried using stop sticks at 20th Street and Avenue H, but the driver of the stolen vehicle got away before losing control and hitting a fire hydrant on the corner of 18th street.
Three people inside the vehicle then ran.
Air 1 tracked two of the three suspects and directed patrol and K9 units to the 400 block of Avenue I South.
Police say one attempted to hide on the roof of a house while the other hid under a vehicle in a back yard of another residence.
The third suspect was found and arrested by a bike patrol officer while attempting to run from the area.
The bike officer suffered a shoulder injury during the arrest and his police bike was damaged.
City yards attended and shut off the water at the broken hydrant.
The three suspects in custody face a multitude of charges including Evade police, possession of stolen property, weapon charges etc.
They’re expected to appear in front of a Justice of the Peace on Sunday.
