Last Thursday, the NFL season started with a game that wasn’t all that entertaining. I believe I’m among the majority of football fans who like offence. That game didn’t have it.
Right after that game, some CFL fans, who believe we have to choose one league over the other, made the point that bad games can happen in either league. They are right, but felt the need to point that out.
Monday’s NFL game between New Orleans and Houston had everything a fan could want. For some reason, that game triggered some Canadians, who believe the NFL is superior, to point out the NFL’s strengths over the CFL.
I don’t get this. The best football game I saw from Thursday of last week to Monday of this week wasn’t on my TV. On Saturday night, the Regina Thunder played the Saskatoon Hilltops in an exciting six-point PFC game at SMF Field.
If you’re a football fan, do yourself a favour and enjoy it all.
