A man has been charged after a private sale turned into a bad deal.
Around 8:43 p.m. Monday, a woman flagged down a marked police car in the area of 21st Street and Avenue P.
The woman told officers she had just been robbed of several hundred dollars from a man who had arranged to sell her a cellphone.
She pointed out which way the man had taken off and a K9 team tracked the suspect to the 100 block of Avenue Q South.
Police said he was found hiding under a vehicle and in possession of a concealed knife.
A 40-year-old man is in police custody charged with robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a weapon in public for a dangerous purpose.
