AJ Jacubec said roster, coaching and penalties held Canada back at the World Juniors.
A snowfall warning issued Friday afternoon for areas in southeastern Saskatchewan remained in place Saturday morning.
According to Environment Canada, areas around Carlyle, Oxbow, Carnduff, Bienfait, Stoughton, Moosomin, Grenfell, Kipling and Wawota were expected to get between 10 and 15 centimetres of snow.
“Heavy snow will continue in the southeastern corner of Saskatchewan this morning as the edge of a major storm system brushes the area,” the weather service said in its warning.
“Areas nearest the Manitoba border as well as higher terrain around Moose Mountain Provincial Park will see about another 10 cm today before the snow tapers off late in the afternoon.”
