A 27-year-old man from the Punnichy area has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a Regina man in June.
Adam Taniskishayinew was arrested Wednesday at the jail in Saskatoon. He made his first court appearance Thursday on charges of second-degree murder, possession of a prohibited firearm and breach of probation.
On June 11, Denny Troy Jimmy was found dead in a car after what was initially deemed to be a single-vehicle crash in the area of Fifth Avenue and Lindsay Street. Two days later, the Regina Police Service said its investigation had determined the 30-year-old man had been murdered.
It was Regina’s fourth murder of 2019.
