A former Fas Gas employee in Saskatoon who was accused of spying on customers with a cellphone camera hidden in the ceiling has pleaded guilty to attempted voyeurism.
Adnan Iqbal was sentenced Tuesday morning to 15 months probation, with 10 conditions.
Some of those are statutory conditions, have no contact with the victims, attend counselling, and do 30 hours of community service work over the next 12 months.
This stems from a complaint in September, when a woman posted to Facebook pictures of a cellphone in ceiling tiles in the washroom at the Fas Gas location.
The woman alleged the 25-year-old Iqbal insisted on changing the paper towels in the washroom before she or her daughters used the facility.
Police were called to the scene, and Iqbal’s cellphone was seized.
Iqbal turned himself into police a few days after.
