The Regina Police Service is searching for two men who stole cash — and the registers it was in — from two businesses in the city early Friday.
According to a media release from the police, a business in the 1800 block of Prince of Wales Drive was robbed at about 1 a.m. About half an hour later, a business in the 5300 block of Rochdale Boulevard was hit.
In the first incident, a man entered the business, jumped over the counter and grabbed the cash register while a second man — who police believe was carrying a knife — waited by the door.
The suspects took the register to a waiting vehicle and took off.
The second robbery followed the same script. Police say both men were carrying knives in that incident.
There weren’t any injuries in either robbery.
Police say both suspects were dressed in black and were wearing masks and gloves.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
