AJ Jacubec said roster, coaching and penalties held Canada back at the World Juniors.
Mayoral candidate Kelley Moore has raised concerns over what she calls “out of control” spending by city council.
Moore said in a news release Tuesday she is worried about the city’s rising debt level, a slowing provincial economy and record tax increases since 2012.
“Even during good times, capital projects have to be carefully scrutinized so they don’t place an unfair burden on future taxpayers,” Moore said.
Moore said Saskatoon’s net debt grew from $41 million in 2006, to over $238 million by the end of 2014. She said these commitments have out-paced the city’s population and tax income growth.
Moore is running against incumbent Don Atchison and Charlie Clark.
Election Day is Oct. 26.
