The Regina Pats tied the game up in the third period and forward Cole Dubinsky scored the lone goal in the shootout for the 5-4 win over the Victoria Royals.
The Pats won their second game in a row and improved to 6-2-0-2 in their last 10 home games. The win improved the Pats record to 15-26-3-2.
Brandon Cutler and Gary Haden scored in the first period to give the Royals the early lead. Pats captain Austin Pratt scored with 1:19 left in the first period to get Regina on the board.
In the second period, Cole Carrier scored his first career WHL goal to tie the game at two apiece.
Carson Denomie and Logan Nijhoff scored in the third period for Regina while Cutler netted his second of the night and Alex Bolshakov scored for Victoria.
Pats goaltender Donovan Buskey stopped 25 of the 29 shots he faced in the contest.
Regina will be in action on Wednesday in Saskatoon against the Saskatoon Blades. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
