Rent reduced for Riders, early budget items approved by Regina Council

Council retroactively slashed $1.33 million in rent owed by the Roughriders.
Fire crews responded to a house fire Tuesday afternoon on the 1100 block of Robinson Street. The residents of the house were able to get outside but pets were trapped inside the house.
Regina Fire Service said two dogs and one hamster died from the fire.
One of the residents was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by EMS.
The fire started in a bedroom but what caused it to start is currently under investigation.
