A demonstration in support of blockades protesting a B.C. pipeline project has arrived in Saskatoon.
Dozens of people took over the intersection of Idylwyld Drive and 22nd Street in downtown Saskatoon Thursday afternoon.

Saskatoon police were stationed in the area ahead of the scheduled 4 p.m. start time.
“Officers are attending to a pipeline protest at the intersection of Idylwyld Drive and 22nd Street West. Members of the Traffic Unit are also on the scene in an attempt to redirect motorists around the area,” police said in a media release.
As of 5:40 p.m. Thursday, police said on their twitter account, some of the group is now traveling on 2nd Avenue. The police also said traffic is still restricted at 22nd Street and Idylwyld Drive as a small group remains.
