RCMP have found a woman who’s charged in a stabbing that had another woman air-lifted to a hospital from the Kawacatoose First Nation
According to the RCMP, they were called out to the first nation around 11:30 Friday night. When officers arrived they found a 30-year-old woman who’d been stabbed in a home.
STARS Air Ambulance was called for the woman, and she was taken to hospital in Saskatoon for serious injuries.
Shortly thereafter, RCMP laid charges on 20-year-old Kayla Blueeyes, from the Kawacatoose First Nation. She was wanted by police, but on Sunday morning was found at a home on the Kawacatoose First Nation and was arrested.
Blueeyes is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose – she will be in court on these charges on Tuesday.
The Kawacatoose First Nation is about 120 kilometres north of Regina.
Blueeyes will appear in court on Oct. 25 at 10 a.m.
