Regina police officers responding to reports of a gunshot in a home on Robinson Street on Wednesday morning instead found a man who had been stabbed.
In a media release, the Regina Police Service said it’s trying to piece together what happened in the home on the 1100 block of Robinson just after 3:15 a.m.
According to police, a woman who was inside the house heard people enter and then heard what she thought sounded like a shot. She escaped through a window and called police, who met her outside.
Officers then went inside and found a 21-year-old man who had been stabbed, not shot. Paramedics treated the man on the scene and then took him to hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
