The WHL’s Regina Pats opened a string of three home games in three days with a 6-3 loss to the Saskatoon Blades on Friday at the Brandt Centre.
Regina is to play host to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday (7 p.m.) and the Brandon Wheat Kings on Sunday (4 p.m.) to complete its busy weekend.
In Friday’s game, the teams were tied 3-3 before the Blades scored three straight goals, including the only two of the third period.
Tristen Robins, Chase Wouters, Caiden Daley, Riley McKay, Alex Morozoff and Aidan De La Gorgendiere (into an empty net) scored for Saskatoon.
Logan Nijhoff, Zack Smith and Austin Pratt replied for Regina.
Nolan Maier stopped 24 shots for the Blades, who improved to 29-22-2-3. Donovan Buskey made 30 saves for the Pats (19-31-3-2).
