Police searching for five suspects in armed robbery Tuesday night

Regina police say the victim of an armed robbery Tuesday night had knives held to his neck and back as a group of thieves stole some items, cash and his truck.

The man was exiting a business near Victoria Avenue and Winnipeg Street at 8:13 p.m., when he was approached by the five suspects.

Police gave a description of the suspects:

• Male, 16 to 24 years old, 5-foot-6, black hair, fair complexion, straight hair, holding a 30- to 36-inch machete, covering his face with his hand, wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans.
• Suspect 2 – Male, 16 to 22 years old, 5-foot-4, fair skin, face full of pimples, wearing a black hoodie and brown pants. This male held a knife to the victim’s back.
• Suspect 3 – Male, 5-foot-4, 16 to 22 years old, white complexion, wearing a black hoodie and grey jogging/sweat pants. This male held a knife to the victim’s neck.
• Suspect 4 – Female, 5-foot-2, short black hair, 16 to 20 years old, wearing a grey hoodie and black jogging/sweat pants. This female took the victim’s personal property.
• Suspect 5 – Female wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

The stolen truck was a black 2012 Ford F-150 with black rims, tinted rear windows and a tonneau cover. The Saskatchewan licence plate number was MCMXIV.

The truck was used as a getaway vehicle Wednesday at 9:45 a.m., when two men tried to rob a store in the 1800 block of Victoria Avenue East.

The men entered the store and pointed mace canisters at a customer and staff members. When the employees went into a back room to call the police, the suspects left the store and took off in the truck.
