A Saskatoon photographer is providing a small piece of normal life during COVID-19.
In the era of physical distancing, Jenn Diehl with Ensoul & Endearment Imagery has moved her tripod to the sidewalk and is photographing families on their front steps.
She arranges the day in advance and then sends a text message when she is pulling up to the house.
“Everyone is having so much fun,” said Diehl. “They come out and I’ve got some families who are dressed up in their onesies or housecoats. I’ve seen a lot of dogs.”
Since the start of the health crisis, Diehl has watched her income evaporate. Her busy season is right around the corner and all of her wedding bookings are up in the air.
Despite the uncertainly with her own business, she decided to give back and try to spread some happiness in the process.
“There’s so much fear out there,” she said. “This gives me a chance to bring kindness, love, joy and just have something people are going to look forward to.
“They’ve told me it’s something they can put into their calendar because they have nothing to put in their calendar right now.”
Diehl said she doesn’t charge for the photos but is asking people to make a donation to their favourite charity instead.
