For the second straight night the Brandon Wheat Kings had the Saskatoon Blades’ number after a 6-3 win Saturday. Brandon took the first of a double-header 8-1 on Friday.
Brandon got to work early with three straight goals before Saskatoon could get on the board. Braylon Shmyr found the net to make it 3-1 into the second.
Bryton Sayers made it a one goal game with a slap-shot from the point. Lukus MacKenzie potted his first goal of the season after a Brandon marker for a 4-3 score-line heading into the third.
The Wheat Kings would add two more in the final period to close out the scoring. Logan Flodell went the distance in the loss, making 28 saves on 34 shots.
Saskatoon will try to end a three-game losing streak on Tuesday, Nov. 22 when they visit Swift Current.
