A 35-year-old Regina man has been charged after the Regina Police Service’s SWAT team was deployed Thursday night.
At 9:20 p.m., police issued a public advisory asking residents in the area of the 1600 block of Toronto Street to shelter in place. Around 11 p.m., police sent out a second release saying the incident was over.
Officers executing a search warrant found ammunition and substances believed to be methamphetamine and fentanyl. The man is facing weapons- and drug-related charges, as well as two charges for failing to comply with a release order.
He appeared in court Friday.
