A Regina-based charity is launching a new online program to help frontline workers and their families cope with grief and loss.
Social and physical distancing measures in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic have led to a high demand for a wide range of mental health services.
Caring Hearts is hosting a free eight-week initiative focusing on resilience building and self-care.
Everyone experiences emotions such as fear, anger and guilt after the passing of a loved one, but without sufficient management, that can lead to more severe mental health issues including stress, anxiety and depression.
Caring Hearts, which provides mental health support in grief, is developing a new online resource toolkit with support from the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation Emergency Response Fund.
The program will include a range of resources, such as weekly live webinars with questions and answers as well as support for caregivers and parents in caring for children and youth.
