Sometimes you don’t realize how much you’ve missed something until it comes back.
That was me and golf on Sunday afternoon. Reunited.
I was reacting to a live sporting event with Xander Schauffele, Daniel Berger, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose, Bryson DeChambeau with great shots, tough breaks, and clutch putts down the stretch.
And as an extra bonus for the starved golf fan, a playoff hole to decide the winner.
Daniel Berger won in the end after Morikawa’s putt lipped out on the first playoff hole.
Even my daughter was curious what all the fuss was about as dad was likely overreacting to every twist and turn in the final few holes.
It was actually the first time I’ve pulled the ‘I need to watch this for work’ card in three months.
And it provided the right amount of distraction, relaxation and excitement I’ve been longing for. Once again sports proves to be the best reality television you can find.
Unscripted and unpredictable. Just the way I like it.
