We’ve heard of moose on the loose before, but bison?
That’s exactly what the Rural Municipality of Corman Park is dealing with after a Dalmeny bison farmer had his fence cut.
The Osler Fire Department warned the public of the escapees, saying “numerous bison” are now on the run in the area.
In a Facebook post Sunday just before 8 p.m., the fire department warned the public of the dangers bison create in the wild.
“Do NOT approach these animals!! They will hurt you!!!” the post writes.
A herd of 53 escaped, according to a tweet by Dalmeny Fire and Rescue.
CAUTION – The Pastoor Family of Dalmeny had their fence cut last night and now their herd of 53 buffalo are at large. If you see these animals DO NOT APPROACH. Call Dalmeny Police or Corman Park Police.
