More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
The Saskatchewan Rush opened the National Lacrosse League pre-season with a pair of games in Vancouver. The Rush beat Colorado 16-10 on Saturday and lost 11-10 to Vancouver on Sunday.
Twenty-five players and two goalies are with the Rush for camp. Among the new players getting into game action for the first time were 1st overall draft pick Ryan Keenan, Saskatoon’s own Mike Kiminski and one time fifty-goal scorer Adam Jones.
Pre-season action continues on Dec. 16 when the Rush welcomes Calgary to SaskTel Centre.
The Rush open the 2017 NLL season Jan. 7 on the road against the Georgia Swarm.
