11:30 – Calls for western separation from confederation have slowed since Trudeau won his second term in office, but dissatisfaction with Ottawa is still boiling. The Buffalo Project, a group of citizens fighting for a new deal for Alberta and Saskatchewan, released an open letter today calling on Premiers Scott Moe and Jason Kenney to take “increased and accelerated action to forge a new deal with Canada and to take concerted steps to increase exert sovereignty over provincial affairs like immigration, trade, transportation corridors, and taxation.” Derek Robinson, spokesperson for the Buffalo Project, joins Gormley to tell us more about the letter.
