The Saskatchewan Health Authority has issued public advisories that individuals who subsequently tested positive for COVID-19 recently visited a number of businesses in Swift Current, Ponteix and Cut Knife.
The latest alert comes just days after a similar advisory was issued for 11 businesses in Swift Current. Some of those establishments appear on the latest list as well.
According to the SHA, patrons may have been exposed to COVID-19 during the listed times at:
- Wholesale Store, Swift Current, July 6, 4 p.m.;
- Kruse Glass, Swift Current, July 6, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.;
- Walmart, Swift Current, July 6, between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.;
- Dollarama, Wheatland Mall, Swift Current, July 6, between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.;
- Credit Union, Swift Current, July 6, multiple times;
- Dickson Agencies, Swift Current, July 6, multiple times;
- Rexall Pharmacy, Swift Current, July 7, multiple times;
- Walmart, Swift Current, July 7, 6:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.;
- Canadian Tire, Swift Current, July 7, 7:50 p.m. to 8 p.m.;
- K Motel, Swift Current, July 8;
- Canadian Tire, Swift Current, July 8, 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.;
- Walmart, Swift Current, July 9, around 1 p.m.;
- Walmart, Swift Current, July 9, around 5 p.m.;
- Scully’s Food, Ponteix, July 10, around 4 p.m.;
- Canadian Tire, Swift Current, July 10, unknown time; and,
- Country Roads Motor Inn, dining area only, Cut Knife, July 13-16, noon to 1 p.m.
The SHA said anyone who was at those businesses during the times listed should be monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19. Individuals who experience symptoms are reminded to isolate immediately and call 811 HealthLine.
As well, several businesses that appeared on previous alerts have been removed after further investigation and testing. They’re no longer deemed to have had an increased risk of exposure.
Those businesses are:
- Pioneer Co-op Grocery store (mall location), Swift Current, July 7, 5:20 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.;
- Lac Pelletier Regional Park Golf Course clubhouse, July 5, 3:45 p.m. to 4 p.m.;
- Great West Auto Electric Ltd. (Bumper-to-Bumper), Swift Current, July 6 and July 7, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and,
- Cabri Co-op, July 9, 11 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
The SHA reminded residents to maintain physical distance, wash their hands and follow public health guidelines, especially with regards to the size of gatherings.
