Regina man facing drunk driving charge after woman killed in rollover

A 54-year-old Regina man is facing a charge of impaired driving causing death in connection with a fatal crash on the Lumsden Beach access road on July 12.

According to a media release from the RCMP on Thursday, Glen Sauer was arrested in Lumsden on July 17, charged and released. He’s to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Sept. 10.

A 54-year-old woman died in the single-vehicle crash, which happened July 12 at about 2:30 a.m.

The woman was found outside the vehicle, which had rolled in the ditch.

The Mounties said in their initial release about the incident that alcohol was “being investigated as a factor in this collision.”
