Two men and a woman have been arrested and charged after a break in enter in Regina on Wednesday and included a sexual assault.
Police were called to the 800 block of Retallack Street, west of Albert Street, for a report of a gun offence. One of the victims said three people had just broken into her home.
When police got there, two men were seen leaving the house. The men reportedly ran away from police. During the pursuit, officers were able to catch one of the men and found items belonging to the victim police say the suspect had thrown away during the chase.
Police say the three suspects forced a door open on the house and began looking for valuables. The 49-year-old woman in the house was sexually assaulted while the thieves rummaged for items according to police.
While police were with the victims, they found a woman in the area who was identified as one of the suspects and she was arrested.
On Thursday police ended up searching a house on the 900 block of Rae Street. A man was taken into custody there and identified as the third suspect.
All three have been charged with breaking and entering. One of the men and the woman are facing sexual assault charges as well.
