'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
Significant damage to a home near St Paul’s Hospital after a fire tore through the second level and roof.
Fire crews were called to a house at 1811 20th Street around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday night. When they got there heavy smoke was pouring from a window and under the eavestroughs.
Officials say they had to spray water on the outside of the house to get the temperature down enough for it to be safe for firefighters to go inside.
Efforts were hampered by a downed power line that was still live and bars on the basement windows.
There were no injuries and an investigator was still on scene trying to determine the cause and the extent of the damage late Wednesday.
