Two Regina teens are facing multiple charges after being arrested on Boxing Day.
Officers noticed a stolen vehicle around 2:50 a.m. but lost sight of it.
Patrol officers found the vehicle abandoned on the 2000 block of Broder Street. Police said they found ammo in the vehicle and a gun nearby.
The canine unit was brought in to assist officers. The track was successful and three suspects were apprehended.
A police service dog was used to apprehend one of the suspects and he had to be transported to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Nineteen-year-old Dylan James Poorman and 18-year-old Michael Ethan Obey, both from Regina, face 29 charges including resisting arrest, careless use of a weapon and failure to comply with a probation order. The third suspect was released with no charges.
