The Regina Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Tuesday near Lakeshore Drive just south of the legislative building.
According to police, officers responded to Lakeshore between Avenue B and Avenue C just before 7 a.m., after someone who was walking in Wascana Park saw a man lying on the ground.
The man wasn’t responsive, so police and paramedics were called. Paramedics confirmed the man was dead and a coroner was summoned to the scene.
Police said the man has been identified and his next of kin have been contacted, but his identity isn’t being released.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
