There has been a positive case of COVID-19 reported at the University of Saskatchewan.
An email that went out to people on campus said the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) notified the university a person on campus had recently tested positive for COVID-19.
The email said, based on the class schedule, the person had not been on campus since Oct. 1.
The positive case is isolated to the College of Medicine and the SHA is completing the contact tracing process to identify and notify all people who may have been exposed to COVID-19.
All those identified through contact tracing have been given instructions for completing COVID-19 testing and 14-day self-isolation (until Oct. 16). Self-isolation includes any identified close contacts living in residence.
The email says that the university doesn’t believe there are any other risks to the campus community.
