The shots were fast and furious in the Regina Pats Sunday afternoon game against the Raiders.
By the end of the game Prince Albert Raiders goalie Nicholas Sanders faced an incredible 72 shots and the Pats were victorious.
The final score was 7-2.
Austin Wagner started the scoring early with a feed from Lane Zablocki and Jonathan Smart less than two minutes into the game.
The Pats next goal would come later in the period from Riley Woods and the Pats would take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
The Raiders first goal came courtesy of Cavin Leth. Nick Henry scored the Pats first goal of the period 10 minutes into the period and Austin Wagner notched his second of the game in the final minutes of the frame.
Adam Brooks opened the scoring within in the first minute of third with his 21st goal of the season, assisted by Wagner and Zablocki.
Ten minutes later Tim Vanstone scored the Raiders second and final goal unassisted.
Bryan Lockner scored his first career goal and Braydon Buziak netted Pats goal number seven with just five seconds left in the game.
Tyler Brown took a break between the pipes and goaltender Max Paddock made his first WHL start. He made 30 saves in the win.
The Pats are on the road for their next game squaring off against Medicine Hat on Tuesday night. They’ll return home to the Brandt Centre for two games on Friday and Saturday.
