The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is restricting visits at Northlands Pioneers Lodge long term care following a positive COVID-19 case in the facility.
It means relatives and support people are only allowed inside for compassionate reasons.
Compassionate reasons includes end-of-life care, major surgery, intensive care/critical care, maternal/paediatrics, long-term care residents whose quality of life or care needs are unmet or those inpatients and outpatients with specific challenges.
The enhanced restrictions will remain in place until further notice, according to an SHA email.
In some cases, when it’s deemed safe, outdoor visits will be permitted.
