A 16-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a semi-truck at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 47 at Grenfell, Sask., Tuesday.
RCMP were called to the scene around 7:40 p.m.
Police said the teen was hit by a semi-truck travelling east and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man driving the semi-truck was not injured and stayed on the scene. Police do not anticipate any charges, but a collision reconstructionist for the RCMP is still investigating.
The eastbound lane of Highway 1 was closed until 2:40 a.m. Wednesday.
