Four Sask. players named to Canada world junior hockey championship team

Berkly Catton, Brayden Yager, Caden Price and Tanner Howe were all named.
It’s another item to check off the bucket list for Connor Ingram and his family.
The Imperial, Sask., goalie will get another start at the world junior championship tonight, as Canada faces off against Sweden in a semi-final game.
“I think he’ll be ready to play or be in a role as a back-up,” said Ingram’s father Brent, speaking with the CJME Morning Show before his son was announced as starting goalie.
“You need to be ready at all times and stay in the game. Get some good sleep, get some nutrition and put your best foot forward and I’m sure that’s what the whole team is going to do this morning. I’m sure they’re pretty pumped up and want to get into that gold medal game.”
The trip to the world juniors has been exciting for both Ingram and his family.
“He’s worked all his career up to this point and this is one of the things you want to check off in your box of things to do on your bucket list,” Brent said. “He’s really been enjoying the experience. Hockey Canada has treated him fantastically.”
The Ingrams are also getting in some family time.
“On their days off, (the players) usually get to come over to the hotel where the parents are and they spend two to three hours with the family,” Brent said. “We had him (Tuesday) afternoon and visited with him and he’s having a lot of fun.”
