Active COVID cases in Saskatchewan took another jump upwards Sunday.
The province reported 74 new cases, putting the active total at 798. Since the pandemic hit the province, there have been 3,218 total cases.
Of the new cases, Saskatoon had the highest tally with 25. There were also cases reported in the Regina (19), north-central (12), northwest (five), far northwest (five), southeast (three), central-east (two), northeast (one) and southwest (one) zones.
The health authority is still investigating the location of one case.
Fifteen recoveries were also reported.
In a news release, the province reminded Saskatoon nightclub owners and managers of the new public health order that restricts their business hours and times they can sell alcohol.
Alcohol can not be served after 10 p.m. Clubs must close at 11 p.m. and not reopen until at least 9:30 a.m the next day.
There are now 33 people in hospitals across the province. Twenty-six people are receiving inpatient care; 10 in Saskatoon, six in Regina, six in the north-central zone, two in the northwest area, and two in the northeast zone. Seven people are in intensive care; four in Saskatoon, two in the north-central zone and one in Regina.
Saturday, 2,750 COVID-19 tests were done across the province.
