City says more than 14,000 ballots were cast at Regina advance polls

Advance polls for the 2020 municipal election in Regina drew nearly twice as many voters as the advance polls prior to the 2016 civic election.
According to figures released by the City of Regina, 14,374 people voted at the advance polls from Monday through Wednesday.
By comparison, 7,200 ballots were cast during the three days of advance polls in 2016.
In 2020, 3,918 voters cast ballots in advance polls at the South Leisure Centre, while 3,153 voted at the North West Leisure Centre.
Residents also could vote early at the Victoria Square Mall (where 2,412 ballots were cast), at the Northgate Mall (2,171), at a drive-through kiosk beside City Hall (1,806) and inside City Hall (914).
