Cases of COVID-19 have been found at several more schools in Regina.
In the public school division, they include École Elsie Mironuck School, Plainsview School and École Wascana Plains School. Close contacts have been required to self-isolate for two weeks.
There has also been a case diagnosed at St. Kateri Tekakwitha School in the Catholic division. The classroom where the case was reported has been closed.
The schools remain open.
On Thursday, high schools in the public division moved to Level 3 of the province’s Safe Schools Plan.
That means students will attend classes on alternate days, reducing school capacity by 50 per cent each day.
The public school division says this will allow for better physical distancing and reducing the number of close contacts in the event of cases.
Prairie Valley School Division
Meanwhile, classrooms at two Prairie Valley School Division schools are moving to online learning due to COVID-19.
Students in a class at Fort Qu’Appelle Elementary School will be learning remotely, with a planned return to in-person learning on Nov. 25.
As well, a class at Indian Head High School has been closed, with an anticipated return date of Nov. 23.
Both schools are to remain open for students in other classes.
