6:10 p.m.
Alberta is reporting 991 new COVID-19 cases and six new deaths.
Today’s provincial update also says there are 262 people in hospital with the novel coronavirus, with 58 of those are in tensive care.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, repeated in a tweet an earlier message that the province is at a critical point.
She says everyone has a say in how the province will fare in the weeks and months ahead.

3:30 p.m.
Nunavut says nine new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the Hudson Bay community of Arviat.
One other new case has also been identified in Rankin Inlet which the territory says is linked to Arviat.
The 10 new cases bring the territory’s total to 18, with 14 of them in Arviat.
The first diagnosis in the community was only identified on Friday.
Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut’s chief public health officer, is asking anyone who left Arviat on or after Nov. 2 to immediately isolate for 14 days, wherever they are.

3:00 p.m.
Saskatchewan is reporting 181 new COVID-19 cases and two new deaths.
Both of those who died were in the province’s North Central zone — one was in their 20s while the other was over 80.
The new deaths raise Saskatchewan’s total from the pandemic to 31.
Saskatchewan reports there are 62 COVID-19 cases in its hospitals, 16 of which are in intensive care.

Manitoba’s justice minister says the actions of people at a rally opposing mandatory masks and other lockdown measures yesterday in a community southeast of Winnipeg were “incredibly unfortunate, dangerous and wrong.”
Cliff Cullen says in a statement that his message is clear: people who break COVID-19 restrictions will be ticketed.
Enhanced restrictions are now in effect in Manitoba which bar social gatherings outside immediate household members.
Cullen says enforcement personnel at the demonstration in Steinbach, Man. experienced “language and vitriol” which was “absolutely unacceptable.”

2:15 p.m.
Manitoba is reporting 494 new COVID-19 cases and 10 new associated deaths, seven of which are linked to an outbreak at a Winnipeg care home where dozens of residents have died.
The province says in today’s pandemic update that a woman in her 80s, two men in their 80s, two women in their 90s and two men in their 90s died between Nov. 3 and Nov. 14 in connection with the outbreak at the Maples Personal Care Home.
The news follows yesterday’s announcement from the government that 11 more people connected with the same deadly outbreak had also died during roughly the same period.
The private home is now the subject of a provincial investigation.

Nova Scotia is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 in the province today.
Health officials say both cases are in the central health zone, which includes Halifax.
Both are connected to previously reported cases, including one linked to the city’s cluster in the Clayton Park area.
The province has 21 active cases of the novel coronavirus hand as recorded an overall total of 1,144 positive cases, while 1,058 cases are considered recovered and there have been 65 deaths.

12:45 p.m.
Newfoundland and Labrador his reporting two new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing its total number of active cases to 10.
One case involves a man in the eastern health region between 40 and 49 years old who travelled to the province for work from Russia.
The second case is also travel-related and involves a man between 20 and 39 in the central health zone who returned to the province from work in Alberta.
The province has had 303 cases of the novel coronavirus, while 289 people have recovered and there have been four deaths.

New Brunswick is reporting three new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases in the province to 22.
Public Health says the new cases involve a person between 20 and 29 years-old in the Moncton region, an individual between 20 and 29 in the Saint John area, and a person between 70 and 79 years of age in the Fredericton area.
Officials say one of the cases is related to travel and the other two are still under investigation.
There have been 367 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic, with 339 people having recovered and six deaths reported.

Quebec is reporting 1,211 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 additional deaths linked to the novel coronavirus.
Public health authorities say two of those deaths took place in the last 24 hours, 11 occurred between Nov. 8 and 13, one was before Nov. 8 and one occurred at an unspecified date.
The province has now recorded 123,854 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic and 6,626 total deaths.
Officials say hospitalizations went up by four over the past 24 hours for a total of 587.
Of that, 89 people are in intensive care, an increase of seven from the previous day.

Ontario is reporting 1,248 new cases of COVID-19 today, and 29 new deaths due to the virus.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 364 cases are in Toronto, 308 in Peel Region and 125 in York Region.
The province says it has conducted 44,837 tests since the last daily report.
In total, 479 people are hospitalized in Ontario due to COVID-19, including 118 in intensive care.
