YAROSLAVL, Russia — Canada’s Lewis Irving picked up the bronze medal at a World Cup aerials freestlye skiing competition Sunday.
Irving, from Quebec City, finished third with a score of 120.36 points for the fourth podium finish of his World Cup career.
Russians took the top two spots, with Maxim Burov (125.34 points) winning gold and Stanislav Nikitin (123.98 points) earning silver.
Megan Nick of the United States won the women’s event with 89.88 points.
Alla Tsuper of Belarus (89.82) and Kaila Kuhn (87.25) rounded out the podium.
Justine Ally of Lac-Superieur, Que., was the top Canadian in 12th.
