The Regina Police Service has issued its 11th ticket to date for a violation of the COVID-19 public health orders.
In a media release Wednesday, police said it consulted with the Saskatchewan Health Authority before issuing the $2,800 ticket to a 42-year-old Regina woman.
At about 6:10 a.m. on Jan. 14, police were told a person at a house in the 800 block of Elphinstone Street had at least one guest at her house even though she had received a COVID diagnosis.
According to police, officers “confirmed the health status of the female as well as the validity of the isolation order.” Another female in the house was asked to leave.
After further investigation, the 42-year-old woman was given the ticket Wednesday.
